10 Easy ways to use Baking Soda

Baking soda is very inexpensive yet it has many different wonderful uses. Aside from using baking soda in baking I’ve discovered some easy yet effective ways to use it in my daily life.

1. Toothpaste- You can use baking soda as a natural toothpaste. Simply wet a toothbrush and stick it in the baking soda or you can prepare a real toothpaste with distilled water, peppermint or spearmint essential oil, a natural sweetener, and baking soda.

2. Mouth Rinse- Mix baking soda with water alone as an oral rinse to cleanse your mouth or mix it with hydrogen peroxide and peppermint or spearmint essential oil to give it some flavor.

3. Deodorant- Baking soda is a great alkalizer and can be placed directly under the arm pits to neutralize any odor. It is also great for removing dark spots from the arm pits. If it is too irritating for your skin then I would suggest mixing it with extra virgin coconut oil, arrow root powder, vitamin e oil, and essential oils.

InSPIRITational Advice

Sometimes you may face challenges in which you feel that you will never make it out of. Here is some inspirational advice that I follow anytime I fall off track.

Stay Positive No matter what: Staying positive in a negative situation is crucial in determining whether you will come out on top or not. Although the situation may feel and seem horrible it is really just something you need to go through to learn a lesson and you will always come out a better person than you were before.

There is always a positive outcome: Remind yourself that No matter what you are going through or how bad it may seem there is always be a positive outcome.

Remind yourself that you are a spiritual being living a human experience: If you take a step outside of yourself and see that you are here on a mission to learn something and grow into a better spirit then life won’t seem all that difficult for you anymore. You are a powerful being and that power has been forgotten, but can now be regained.

Meditate: Meditating is helpful in assisting your mind to relax from all of the thoughts that are constantly running through your mind. Some of the benefits that I have experienced from Meditation are that it clears the mind, allows creativity to flow, and greatly assists with handling difficult situations that may arise with ease.

Visualize yourself in a positive manner: After meditating while your mind is still in a relaxed state visualize yourself in the way you want to be. Get the feeling of how you will feel when you become that great person. See yourself winning at everything you do, truly believe that it can happen, and it will.

Take action to receive what you want

If you want to accomplish something you must take action to receive it. Sitting around waiting for it to manifest will never work.

For example: when you ask for a better job, because you are not satisfied with your present job take action by searching, applying for new positions, and keeping a positive attitude about it; or if you want a new relationship, because your current one is not satisfying you do not hold onto the current relationship, let it go and make yourself available to meet new people. If you would like to move don’t sit around saying “I want to move” and do nothing about it; take action, start creating a plan by saving up, figuring out exactly where you want to move, and go from there.

We can all accomplish our dreams and goals as long as they are reasonable or logical to us. It does not matter what others around you say or believe that is their own perception. As long as you believe in yourself, your goals, and take action/steps to achieve it then you WILL succeed.

Don’t allow other people’s negative energy into your space

Do you know someone who is so negative that it takes a toll on you? They constantly complain about their problems, but never put forth the effort to find a solution and when you try to help they pretend to listen, but later come to you with the same issues? These individuals are stuck in what is called a victim mentality. They are content with being negative, are addicted to misery, and get some kind of gratification when people feel sorry for them. They are the people who constantly complain about bad things happening to them and never focus on the good. This can be extremely draining for you and if you want a positive stress free life then you must let these people GO.

When people come to you and all they do is complain, then you have the choice to walk away. I used to feel bad and actually thought that I was helping people by listening to their complaints over and over. In retrospect I realize I was not doing them any good because I allowed for them to place more energy on their negativity and consequently my energy was always drained too.

So how do you deal with these negative individuals when you may care about and want to help them? You must care for yourself enough to let them go if you want to continue to move to the next level in your life, because you may not realize it but entertaining them is holding you back. Only surround yourself around like minded, positive people who will help uplift you as they are climbing to the top, who constantly take actions that will assist them to grow into better people, and most importantly people who listen to your positive advice because they trust and respect you.

Now, I will not tolerate any negative, toxic people, and surprisingly I cannot physically tolerate it because I am forced to walk away or get off of the phone when people choose to indulge in meaningless negativity. Of course we all have different issues and need to vent but there is a difference between venting and dwelling. If they are not making any effort to find a solution and will not take your advice then there is no need to continue entertaining them. I have been this person too but I chose to get up and find solutions to my issues because I realized that complaining was not giving me anything but more things to complain and worry about.

We all face issues and challenges, but it is solely our choice whether we want to sit and play the victim or take action to create a solution. We are only as good as the individuals we choose to surround ourselves with so not allowing negative individuals in our space is adding positivity to our lives.
